My small-group watercolor classes
are designed for adults who
have little or no experience with watercolors up to
and including intermediate-level painters. (No
advanced painters please.)
Allowing each student to
progress at his or her own pace, these classes can accommodate a range
of painting
experience,
from those who've never held a
brush to painters who are ready to take their work to the next
level. The small number
of
students
assures that everyone gets a lot of personal
attention. My goal is to assist each student in developing solid
painting techniques using this "magical" medium. Color-mixing,
glazing, texturing, and painting "wet-on-wet" and
"wet-on-dry" are the main emphasis.
Depending on the individual, instruction may also address creating
successful
compositions, capturing light and shadow, making colors sing, and
achieving depth in two-dimensional space.
